Hump Day!

No, this doesn't mean that Jen got below-the-equator action. Boldly read on, Little Brother.

Mr MT has been out sick lately, and My Goodness! the office is quiet. I kinda miss his ranting of last week, when he was calling our local State Representatives and meeting with them in person to discuss this legislation they're trying to pass. It was FABULOUS listening to him question the Reps and their lackeys on the phone, and I soooooooooo wish I could have sat in on that meeting. Although I must admit, after the third day of Mr MT's diatribe, it got a teensy bit old. I asked him to write up the story of his meeting with the Representatives, and offered to make him a guest blogger here (yanno, to get the word out), but he declined. Anyway, when he's out sick I miss him.

Klee stopped by a few days ago and told me that there's a new Indian restaurant in Wasilla. Seriously? I'm THERE, what with my hard-on for aloo gobi and garlic naan.

On first glance, I was DEEPLY disappointed in the lamb korma, as it looked really skimpy, especially since it cost $15. The aloo gobi looked promising, though.

Here's a plateful of lovely rice, with the aloo gobi and lamb korma, and a slice of garlic naan. I deem it pretty darn good, even though the lamb was heavy on coconut flavor. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

Remember that weird foot vase? I decided it was cool, and bought it this evening while I was waiting for my Indian food. I got home, opened the door, and dropped the damn thing on my concrete floor.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be?

And a small detour on my way home brought me to these lovely views of the sunset on the mountains to the east.

Last week, I succumbed to fishy love and brought home a couple oscars and a yellow pleco, and a new tank. I used to know and love an oscar named Uma, but she went to the Giant Fishbowl in the Sky a few years ago, and I've wanted another oscar ever since. These guys are babies, and I got an albino one and a black one.

Well, I had two. The black one just didn't do well from the time I brought him home, and spent each passing day listing more and more to port and today, a mere 6 days later, I came home to find him dead. So long, young pal. Rest in watery peace.
